Business Advisor: New Business (Salary: R720 000 CTC per annum) Area: Johannesburg

Duties

  • Sell SME focused financial lending products
  • Build a solid pipeline for the business and achieve business growth objectives
  • Generate, qualify and research sales leads (70%)
  • Convert leads provided by the Business Intelligence Agents (BIA) team and marketing division (30%)
  • Manage objections and remain motivated and focussed to convert sales leads
  • Achieve monthly targets
  • Prospect through an existing network, build a new network, while embracing cold calling, and attending relevant events at appropriate business chambers as key sales lead channels
  • Follow a well-constructed sales process
  • Conduct Structured Business Needs Analysis with prospective clients in person to extract sufficient and relevant information to assess risk parameters and to make recommendations to prospective client

Requirements

  • Looking for a HUNTER
  • Demonstrated understanding of how to interpret SME financials
  • Min. 5 -7 years’ experience in the financial services preferably in a sales environment (complex financial products)
  • Proven track record of new business development in B2B sales
  • Secured lending or similar sales environment - ideal
  • Ability to engage with a variety of people from different demographics, industries and level of education
  • Sound understanding of the SME business landscape
  • Proven ability to uncover a need – sifting through information to find relevance
  • Proven ability to complete needs analysis with prospective clients with a focus on accurate application completion
  • Proven track record of compiling and delivering proposals
  • MS Office Suite (Word + Excel)
